McGrath Family Farm - Farm Center

		The Farm Center, located conveniently off the 101 Freeway at Central Ave., 55 miles north of LA, is the hub of our farm. Not only is it the staging area for our farm tours and CSA programs, it is here where our roadside market offers fresh picked daily organic fruits, flowers and vegetables. Open 10 months a year, 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Monday through Fridays, weekends (9:00 to dusk). Scheduling for animal visits or pick your own can also happen here. In the future we hope to offer self guided farm trails, special events, such as a corn maze, pumpkin patch, scare-crow contest, flower wreath arrangements in the spring and summer festivities. The center is where distributors from the tri-county area come daily to pick-up our produce for local restaurants. So if you have a special event, (wedding, birthday, etc...), and require a custom order of organic produce, this is the place. At this location you have the opportunity to schedule an animal education tour. This event is designed for young children where they can feed and handle farm animals under supervision and learn about their use from the McGrath farm history. The farm center will be where you can pick your own flowers, strawberries, and vegetables. Most likely, we will have two days a week where the public will be allowed to pick seasonal products. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk. The charge will be on a per pound basis and there will be a minimum group requirement. We are proud to offer our roadside center as a rest stop between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Tour bus operators and truckers welcome. There's a great place to walk your dog if you don't mind picking up after Fido. So come and visit soon. There's always something to do on the farm.
